The rebound - Doctor Who comic by SWING-21 The rebound - Doctor Who comic by SWING-21
Guess who's back? :)

This had been sitting on my hard drive forever and a day, so I figured I should post it. It was drawn mostly to poke fun at my best friend, who's a huge Martha fan when I don't see the point. I mean, yeah, she's smart and beautiful and all, but her character got cheapened by obviously pinning for the Doctor. Come on, girl, it's so easy falling in love with a Tennant Doctor, can't you be a little bit original there?

Also, Donna is made of liquid Awesomnium.

Doctor Who belongs to, huh... BBC I think? Anyway, not to me. But no need to rub salt in the wound, thanks.

Love you all, folks, and if you're still watching this account, then you are also made of liquid Awesomnium.

I liked Martha a lot and I think she had some of the best adventures with the doctor. Donna... Was just hilarious. I loved her too, but there is NO companion compared to Rose. Rose is my fav!

If it's so easy to fall in love with the Doctor, then why is it so awful that Martha did? No one got mad at Rose for doing it. Yeah, Martha didn't have the best of luck when it came to the Doctor, but I don't think she was cheapened by it. The sense of unrequited love adds dimension to not only the plot, but to Martha and the Doctor as well. People everywhere, all over the galaxy feel some sort of love for the Doctor: best friend love, guy love, lust, "you-saved-my-live-and-now-I'm-eternally-grateful" love, infatuation... unrequited love is just another kind of love, and Martha happened to be the lucky one to feel it. And it's the hardest kind to feel. The best thing about Martha is that she's extremely smart, and was smart enough to know that things were going nowhere with the Doctor and she had the strength and willpower to call it quits and leave before it got ugly.

That being said, this artwork exactly captures the entirety of season two. It's adorable, hilarious, and totally true. And Donna is probably my favorite companion of ever.

Anyone else notice that Rose lasted through more Doctors than Martha and Donna?

Hahahahahahahah :D
Poor Martha... She was a great companion, much better than Rose. The problem was that unrequited love for the Doctor; it made things too awkward to enjoy Martha properly =P

(But Donna was so awesome \\õ//)

Martha deserved more. But at the same time, he had a right to be sad.

Totally hilarious, and so true!
Personally, I think that Martha and the Doctor would've gotten together if it hadn't been for Rose, grumble grumble.
